GNCTR - FIREBOGGAN

 

I need help from each and every one of you in the coming week. 7 days
till I'd like this done.

I've added Dave Turigan and Tyler to the list of people to help as
Grant has suggested that they should be able to help us out in the
coming week. I'd like EVERYONE available to come in Saturday and
Sunday to finish off this thing. You'll notice int he list I've put
names next to some items, if theres no name next to an item I don't
know whos doing it so please send me an email to tell me you'll take
responsibility for it.

Siding and window/door trim will be completed by Chris Beauilain and
Jayson Veldhoen This coming weekend (January 22 and 23)

Door to be constructed and painted by this weekend and will be hinged
and put into place when we decide what the door trim will look like.

Mailbox is being constructed support will follow shortly, also needs

find extension cords and power bars

figure out what posters we are going to have and where they are going to be


2. Fire Trucks (Maria with help from everyone available)

Construct Fire Truck (ie. Wheels, shoulder strap)

Painting

Sirens (we need to figure out how to make these work)



3. Finding Material

Fire Alarm needs to be found... or a recording of a fire alarm

Fire sound affects (likely put sound of affects and fire alarm on cd)

Megaphone/siren affects (Dave Turigan or Grant)

Chris Dueck is looking into a smoke generator and permission to use it
in the gym

Ladder (Grant or Maria to bring in)

Props to be pulled out of house (everyone needs to take a look around
there house for possible props)

4. Fire

Jim to bring in propane torch, we'll be burning next the lab sometime
this weekend or next week.(Luke/Tim)

5. Tech ex day Responsibilities

Pick up and return smoke generator

Jim to get permission to use flat bed truck to transport

Need to check door sizes for roof piece

Hello,

Things are going well. We are now able to keep the tech ex partially
assembled until GNCTR starts up. We do not have a lot of time.
Ideally I'd like everything done a week before GNCTR starts. That
means 14 more days!

The following is an updated list of what is left to do

1. Construction

Siding and window/door trim will be completed by Chris Beauilain and
Jayson Veldhoen as soon as they can (possibly the weekend of January
22 and 23)

Door was kinda constructed by Callum who can't seem to cut straight so
will be fixed by Tim and will then need a couple more coats of red
paint.

Two Tables needs to be done soon so that we can figure out how we are
going to torch this stuff (torching ideas anyone?)

Mailbox is being constructed support will follow shortly
Picture Frames
Mounts for lights and fans
Complete Shingles on top of house (Benji?)

2. Fire Trucks (Maria?)
Find boxes
Construct Fire Truck (ie. Wheels, shoulder strap)
Painting
Sirens (flashing red light with siren sound)

3. Painting
Door and table need some more coats of red
White touch ups on inside of tech ex
Pictures frames (if needed)

Green Astro Turf *Giovanna has something we can use*
Lights, Sirens, sound affects, Fire alarm (have some of this need other stuff)

week, Dave Turigan can you look into the possibility of us borrowing
one for GNCTR?)

There are a few things I want done by Wednesday night (when we will be
taking the tech ex apart)

-Siding and shingling finished
-Upper Window constructed and painted
-Door constructed and finished (with hinges)
-Fences painted and hinged to building
-Mounts for fans and lights and checking if it looks good (ie. Buy
some more lights, attach fabric to metal strip...)
-Final painting (red table, fence, door, final black boats, white touchups)
-Find a location to store everything until GNCTR (Friday February 4)

If no one is in the lab during regular hours (8-4:30) please just
start painting. after 4:30 you must have two people in the lab at all
times. I should be down there Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday after
hours (unless I have noone to work with)

Just a quick reference of what we have left. For those who haven't
seen Benji's handy work the house for the tech ex has been
constructed. Theres still a little more to do.

Well I'm at it I'm going to list off my idea of what happens when the
fire starts.

-Someone sitting in chair activates fire affect (a couple switches
that turn regular lighting off and fire lighting, smoke, fans, fire
alarm and sound affects on. Also switches regular frames, table, and
lamp for burnt frames, table and lamp, takes off blanket over burnt
chair) starts screaming for help
-Fire fighters (or whom ever wants to), gets in the fire trucks we've
constructed, grabs the ladder, and grabs the hose. (position these
pieces far enough away that it involves going through the gym to get
to the tech ex) (possibly have the whole team come along with the fire
trucks, thus getting maximum attention) (Fire trucks would have
sirens, and mega phone)
-When fire fighters arrive at the tech ex attach hose to fire hydrant
(if we can find one), sets up ladder to the upper roof, rescues person
in burning building, climbs ladder opens upper window and pulls out
prop (the prop will change each time, possible ideas are listed
above).
-Repeat a few times during tech ex
